Andy Martins award winning furniture design was one of Noble Russell’s most challenging seating projects to date. Not just in its physical scale but interpreting the organic computer rendering. Devising manufacturing techniques to construct the frames proved testing but seeing the sculptural form develop into three dimensions was an exciting process. Our team travelled to Greece to install the seating insuring integrity and give them the ultimately reward of seeing the final result.
The market area is covered in a canopy of timber hexagon structures overhead, which in places come down to the floor to make a floor to ceiling stall for fashionable retailers to hire out. The timber structures are laminated with 'whiteboard paint' allowing them to be written on with a non-permanent marker, so retailers can quickly and effectively communicate information about products, trends and prices.
